Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, the luxury arm of the storied Sotheby’s auction house, announced a sweep of senior appointments across its Florida footprint. The moves place seasoned professionals at the helm of its Sarasota-Longboat Key complex, the Orlando corridor, and the Ocala market, signaling a strategic push to tighten brokerage performance in key luxury zones.
While the leadership changes are local in scope, they arrive at a moment when the United States housing landscape is anything but uniform. Regional economies, supply constraints, climate considerations and tax regimes create a mosaic of market dynamics that can dramatically affect how a brokerage operates from one city to the next.
Carrie Prieto takes charge of Sarasota and Longboat Key
Effective October 12, Carrie Prieto steps into the role of managing broker for the Sarasota and Longboat Key offices. Over the past eight years she has overseen Premier Sotheby’s Southwest Orlando, Southeast Orlando and Ocala divisions, guiding sales teams through fluctuating inventory and shifting buyer preferences. With more than two decades in real-estate, Prieto has honed expertise in sales and marketing, new-development projects, and brokerage management. Her reputation as an engaged leader and coach is expected to reinforce the brand’s standards and accelerate advisor growth in the Gulf Coast market.
Andre Williamson heads Southwest and Southeast Orlando
Premier Sotheby’s welcomes Andre Williamson as managing broker of its Southwest and Southeast Orlando offices. Williamson arrives with nearly twenty years of industry experience, most of it spent in brokerage leadership, coaching and marketing. Previously he oversaw multiple districts, directing sales performance, recruiting, agent development and day-to-day operations. He has delivered training to more than 2,000 real-estate professionals, and his early career in new-home development adds a valuable perspective on construction-related inventory. Williamson’s deep knowledge of Central Florida’s real-estate community positions him to elevate advisor performance and adapt to the region’s rapid growth.
Patricia Kant assumes leadership of the Ocala office
While Prieto and Williamson receive new assignments, Patricia Kant will transition to managing broker of the Ocala office, continuing to supervise the Seminole County and Port Orange locations. Kant brings over a decade of managing-broker experience within the Premier Sotheby’s network and is known for her high standards and ability to nurture emerging agents. Her oversight is expected to sustain momentum in a market that is gaining attention from luxury-focused buyers seeking central-Florida amenities.
Why the appointments matter in a fragmented national market
The timing of these promotions coincides with a broader reality: the United States does not have a single housing market. Local economies—whether driven by tourism in Sarasota, tech hubs in Orlando, or agricultural roots in Ocala—create divergent demand patterns. Supply constraints differ as well; coastal parcels face development limits, while inland areas may enjoy new-construction pipelines. By installing leaders who understand the nuances of their specific regions, Premier Sotheby’s positions itself to navigate varying inventory levels, climate-related risk factors, and distinct tax or insurance regimes that can affect luxury transactions. In short, strong, market-aware leadership is essential for a brokerage that wants to thrive across Florida’s heterogeneous real-estate landscape.
