Travelers are increasingly swapping traditional hotel rooms for larger, more flexible short-term rentals. A recent Phocuswright analysis shows that roughly thirty percent of leisure journeys in the United States involved a stay in a vacation rental on the most recent trip, highlighting a clear shift toward space-rich accommodations for families and groups.
Homes & Havens platform rolls out across key destinations
The new service, accessed via /HomesandHavens, launches with close to eight hundred professionally managed homes and villas. Offerings span the Florida Keys, the Rocky Mountains, the Carolinas, St. Barth’s, and select Mediterranean locales, with plans to add cabins, yurts and tiny homes in upcoming months. Wyndham secured the inventory through collaborations with independent operators such as Brightwild, Simpson Travel, StayTerra and Thousand Trails, ensuring each property meets the brand’s quality standards.
Earning potential for loyalty members
Members of Wyndham Rewards can accumulate five loyalty points for every U.S. dollar spent on eligible Homes & Havens bookings. In addition to point accrual, each qualified night contributes toward the next tier in the program’s elite status hierarchy, allowing frequent renters to climb the member ladder faster than with standard hotel stays.
Redemption structure and booking rules
Redemption starts at fifteen thousand points per bedroom, per night, with higher-priced properties requiring thirty thousand or forty-five thousand points. Wyndham has signaled a future five-thousand-point tier as the portfolio expands. To secure a stay, members must contact Wyndham Rewards Member Services at least sixty days before arrival; points cover only the base nightly rate, while taxes, cleaning fees and other mandatory charges are paid separately. Not every property participates in the redemption program, and the points tier applied depends on the nightly price per bedroom.
Integration with the broader Wyndham Rewards ecosystem
Homes & Havens joins existing program pillars such as Wyndham Rewards Insider, the Wyndham Rewards Earner credit cards and curated Wyndham Rewards Experiences. The addition offers members a more holistic way to earn and spend points, whether they opt for a beachfront villa, a mountain lodge, or one of the chain’s thousands of hotels, reinforcing Wyndham’s aim to cover the entire spectrum of travel preferences.
