Calendly rebrand 2026: A new visual identity for an evolving productivity platform

Calendly has launched a comprehensive rebrand in 2026, introducing a new logo and visual identity that better represent its evolution into an AI-powered productivity platform.

Calendly rebrand 2026: A new visual identity for an evolving productivity platform

Calendly, the popular online scheduling tool, has undergone a significant rebrand in 2026, shedding its previous identity to better reflect its evolution into a comprehensive AI-powered productivity platform. The new visual identity, designed by Smith & Diction, aims to capture the essence of Calendly’s expanded offerings, which now include AI email assistants and meeting notetakers.

The rebrand comes as Calendly faces the challenge of being recognized for much more than just its scheduling capabilities. The company has been expanding its suite of productivity tools, and its previous logo, which resembled a letter ‘C’ but was often interpreted as a toilet bowl, no longer accurately represented its broader scope.

The evolution of Calendly’s visual identity

The new logo design marks a deliberate departure from the previous identity. The neon colors and bold shapes have been replaced with a softer, lighter aesthetic. The logo’s central symbol now features asymmetrical ripples around a ‘C’, representing the idea that sending a meeting link can change the trajectory of a business.

The wordmark has also been refined to strike a balance between the organic wobbliness of the ‘C’ and the structured sharpness of the remaining letters. The letters are designed to flow into each other, symbolizing Calendly’s role as an invisible connector for people.

A cohesive system of icons and colors

The new branding includes a set of subbrand icons representing Calendly’s various offerings, from scheduling to payments and the AI assistant Callie. These icons are housed in the same squircle as the primary logo and feature a ‘gloop’ effect to soften the connections inside. Each icon is color-coded for easy identification.

The color system has been updated to reinforce the feeling of simplicity and effortlessness. Harsh neons have been replaced with softer hues that fade into each other. The system also includes AI-generated visuals, described as dreamy and reminiscent of a breeze.

The significance of the rebrand

The rebrand is not just about aesthetics; it’s a strategic move to position Calendly as a versatile productivity platform. The new identity aims to convey calmness, confidence, and simplicity, much like Calendly’s original blue link. It’s designed to feel like a breath of fresh air, reflecting the company’s commitment to making space for work and leisure.

As Calendly continues to expand its offerings, the new visual identity serves as a flexible foundation that can grow and adapt with the company. It’s a testament to Calendly’s evolution from a simple scheduling tool to a comprehensive productivity platform.
