As anticipation grows for the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina, the towns of Bormio and Valdisotto are introducing a unique opportunity for their residents. This initiative allows locals and second homeowners to purchase tickets ahead of the public sales, enabling them to witness the
thrilling sports events close to home.
Residents should mark their calendars for November 11, as this date marks the start of an exclusive ticket sales program. This initiative not only offers a chance to participate in a global sporting event but also showcases the breathtaking landscapes of the Italian Alps to the world.
Exclusive access to ticket purchasing
The resident ticketing program is crafted to give locals early access to tickets via a dedicated link
and personal code. This system will open at 10:00 AM on November 11, allowing residents to secure seats for the most sought-after competitions. The exclusive sale will conclude at 09:59 AM the following day, providing locals a 24-hour advantage before general sales commence.
How to obtain your personal code
To participate, all residents and second homeowners aged 16 and above must collect their personal code from the Tourism Office located at Via
Roma 131/b in Bormio. This code, along with a specific link, will direct users to a special purchasing platform separate from the general ticket sales. The platform will also include a User Guide to assist customers in navigating the buying process effectively.
Each code allows the purchase of up to two tickets for every event in Bormio and Valdisotto, with a maximum of twenty-five tickets per account. It is important to note that once a code is used to complete a ticket purchase, it becomes invalid for any further transactions. The ticketing operates on a first-come, first-served basis, emphasizing the need for residents to act swiftly to secure their desired tickets.
Who can participate?
This initiative is inclusive, extending its benefits not only to residents of Bormio and Valdisotto but also to those from nearby municipalities such as Valdidentro, Valfurva, and Sondalo. Additionally, individuals under the age of 16 can attend events with tickets purchased by adults, ensuring families can enjoy the Olympic experience together.
What events are available?
A variety of competitions for ticket purchase includes several disciplines of alpine skiing and ski mountaineering. This diverse selection allows spectators to experience an array of events during the Olympic Games. Participating in these events not only provides a chance to enjoy world-class sports but also enables residents to enhance the local community’s visibility on a global stage.
Attending this historic event allows the community to celebrate its rich sporting culture while showcasing the extraordinary beauty of the Italian mountains to visitors from around the globe. Secure your spot at this once-in-a-lifetime event.
